Reverend Titus Wayne Hill II was born in Killeen, TX, but grew up in Jacksonville, FL. Titus is a 2002 graduate of Stanton College Preparatory High School where he received an International Baccalaureate Diploma. While at Staton Titus would meet what he describes as “the most beautiful girl in the world” and would go on to marry Michelle Toston on August 12, 2006. The couple now have two children, Titus (III) and Elizabeth.
In his preteen years Titus began to realize that he had a calling from God on his life. He would go on to become a member of Love Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir and Jr. Deacons. It was not long before Titus became the leader of the Youth Ministry at Love and even began to preach on Youth Sundays and special occasions. Titus would go on to attend Florida State University where he would graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in accounting with a focus on taxation. Upon his return to Jacksonville, he found himself rising up the ranks of his secular job at PwC and in his ministerial work at Love. Titus would go on to become a CPA, a licensed minister, and Associate Pastor of Love in the span of 5years. He is currently employed with Everbank.
In May 2014, Titus was elected and installed as the Pastor of Love Missionary Baptist Church. In his time there he headed programs that taught literacy, financial literacy, personal growth, and leadership from the Christian worldview and through the wisdom of the Bible. Pastor Hill put an emphasis on leveling the playing field for the less fortunate through food and clothes giveaways, community events, evangelism drives and job opportunities. He turned the church around financially and under his leadership the church made significant strides in savings and growing the building fund.
Although Reverend Hill loved his home church, he knew that God was calling him to advance. On January 19, 2019, Reverend Hill was elected the Pastor of the Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. Today he continues to focus on evangelism and community outreach. He believes evangelism and apologetics should be at the forefront of the ministry.
Titus is a stalwart member of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the Moderator of the Emanuel Progressive Association.
Though Titus wears many hats and has achieved much in his life, he is motivated by the understanding that the strong should bear the infirmities of the weak (Romans 15:1) and to whom much is given much is expected (Luke 12:48). He continues to focus on praising God, knowing that none of his success would be possible without Him.
